Digieffects® (www.digieffects.com), a developer of popular visual effects software plug-ins, announced today it is unveiling a new product line strategy for 2011 with a more streamlined, organized product line; and effective immediately, offering the choice of purchasing singular plug-ins a la carte style.  Under this new and continuously emerging approach, Digieffects Snowstorm will be available as a stand-alone purchase starting Monday, December 19, 2010.  Additional stand-alone plug-ins will be added to the a la carte menu throughout 2011.

“We recognize that Digieffects impacts VFX artists on many levels, from large post houses and VFX shops, to freelancers and students.  We also recognize that not everyone - freelancers and students especially - has the resources to buy entire suites of VFX plug-ins when all they really need is one or two.  With today’s announcement, we’re eliminating that stress,” said Robert Sharp, president of Digieffects. “Key to our strategy in 2011 is making Digieffects and our products more accessible and flexible to not only the ‘type’ of work our customers are doing, but also ‘how’ our customers work.  A new a la carte strategy makes it easy for artists to buy a single plug-in to get a job done, while the larger product suites continue to deliver significant performance, quality and value for the money.”

Snowstorm, originally included as a plug-in with Delirium V2, will be the first application from the Delirium family to be sold as part of Digieffects' new a la carte strategy.  Snowstorm is a 64-bit compatible, high quality plug-in that enables artists to create a realistic snowing effect in their shots - from a gentle flurry to a blinding snow squall.  Snowstorm, as an a la carte option, becomes available on Monday, December 19, 2010 and is priced at $49.

Announced in October of this year, Delirium V2 is a comprehensive suite of 45 VFX plug-ins designed for visual effects and digital media artists looking to add high quality, affordable and visually stunning VFX to their digital media projects.  Delirium delivers 45 VFX plug-ins in a single package that cover six different categories of effects, including Natural Forces, Special Effect Elements, Color & Style Filters, Patterns & Distortions, Lighting & Glow Effects, and Compositing Tools.  Delirium V2 is available now and is priced at $299 for new users, and as a $99 upgrade for existing customers.
