Installing and Authorizing Digieffects Plugins

 

When you purchase a Digieffects plugin, you receive both a download link and a serial number. Download the appropriate Digieffects plugin package to your desktop. This package will be in the form of a ".zip" file. Once you've downloaded this file, double click it to extract the contents which will be a folder. In this folder you will have an installer and other relevant materials such as a Read Me, sample video, a tutorial and preset

For Mac | For Windows | Additional Info | CS 5.5 Installation (Mac / Windows).

Mac

Double click the installer. The installer should have ".dmg" appended to the file name. The file name should be the name of your purchased plugin. A window will open up and next to the Digieffects corporate logo will be an icon of a hard drive. Double click the hard drive icon and follow the installation instructions. Your Digieffects plugins will be installed into all supported host applications installed on your computer.

To manually install your plugins, see the host application specific information below. You can also follow the paths described to delete (uninstall) Digieffects plugins when necessary. All Digieffects plugins are by default initially installed and stored in the following folder: Macintosh HD/Applications/Digieffects.

Adobe After Effects

Copy the entire Digieffects plug-in folder and its contents to the "Plug-ins" folder located at Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe After Effects (CS3 or 7.0)/Plug-ins.

To serialize your Digieffects software in After Effects, apply an effect (e.g. Delirium v2 Visual Harmonizer) to your project. Go to the Effect Controls window and then click the Options button within the applied effect (in this case, Visual Harmonizer). A window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS3

Copy the entire Digieffects plugin folder and its contents to the "Plug-ins" folder. To access this folder , go to the Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 application icon (located at Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Premiere Pro CS3/Adobe Premiere Pro CS3), right click and highlight "Show Package Contents". This will open a folder called "Adobe Premiere Pro CS3". From here you will follow the path Adobe Premiere Pro CS3/Contents/Plug-ins/en_US where you will copy the entire Digieffects plugin folder and its contents to this folder.

To serialize your Digieffects software in Adobe Premiere Pro, apply an effect (e.g. Damage Artifact) to your project. In the Effect Controls window, double click on the Setup icon of the applied effect (in this case, Damage Artifact). A window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click on Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

Apple Final Cut Pro

Copy the individual Digieffects plugins (not the entire Digieffects plugin folder) to the "Plugins" folder located at Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins.

To serialize your Digieffects software in Final Cut Pro 6 apply an effect (e.g. Damage v2 Skew) to your project. Double click on the applied effect (in this case, Blockade) in the Effects tab in the Browser window. The effect will emerge in the Viewer window under the Filters tab. Click the Options button and a window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click on Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

Autodesk Combustion 4
Copy the entire Digeffects plugin folder to the "Plugins" folder located at Macintosh HD/Applications/Combustion 4/Plugins.

To serialize your Digieffects software in Autodesk Combustion 4 apply an effect (e.g. Damage Interference) to your project. Select (highlight) the effect in the Workspace panel, or double click on the effect inside the Schematics window, and then click the Options button. A window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click on Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

Windows

Your Digieffects plugins will be installed into all supported host applications that you would like for it to be installed.

A window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click on Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

Adobe Premiere Pro
Copy the entire Digieffects plugin folder to the "en_US" folder located at C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Pro (CS3 or 2.0)/Plug-ins/en_US.

To serialize your Digieffects software in Premiere Pro, apply an effect (e.g. Damage Artifact) to your project. In the Effect Controls window, double click on the Setup icon of the applied effect (in this case, Damage Artifact). A window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click on Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

Autodesk Combustion
Copy the entire Digieffects plugin folder to the "Plugins" folder located at C:\Program Files\Autodes\Combustion\Plugins.

To serialize your Digieffects software in Combustion apply an effect (e.g. Damage Interference) to your project. Select (highlight) the effect in the Workspace panel, or double-click on the effect inside the Schematics window, and then click the Options button. A window will emerge prompting you to either Purchase, Register or use the software in Demo mode. If you already have purchased a serial number enter it in this window, click on Register and you are now using a fully authorized version of the software.

 


Once the serialization is complete, the Options button will no longer cause the registration window to pop up. Instead, it will have the same function as the About button.

Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro CS 5.5 Installation for Mac

  1. Download the current build of Digieffects' products at www.digieffects.com/software_downloads.
  2. Install from the "CS5 Only" folder
  3. The plug-ins will be installed to the Digieffects folder found under Applications



  4. Copy the folder of the plug-ins and paste them into the Plug-ins folder for After Effects and Premiere Pro
  5. After Effects Plug-ins folder can be found by going to Applications - Adobe After Effects CS5.5 - Plug-ins



  6. Premiere Pro Plug-ins folder can be found by going to Applications - Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and then right click (or Control + Click) on Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 and select Show Package Contents



  7. Then navigate to Contents - Plug-ins - en_US and paste the plug-ins in here.



 

Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro CS 5.5 Installation for Windows

  1. Download the current build of Digieffects' products at www.digieffects.com/software_downloads.
  2. Install from the "CS5 Only" folder
  3. The plug-ins will be installed to the Digieffects folder found under C:\Program Files(x86)\Digieffects\Plug-ins



  4. Copy the folder of the plug-ins and paste them into the Plug-ins folder for After Effects and Premiere Pro
  5. After Effects Plug-ins folder can be found by going to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS5.5\Support Files\Plug-ins



  6. Premiere Pro Plug-ins folder can be found by going to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5\Plug-ins\en_US
